The challenge

Manual campaign management couldn't keep pace with the daily vacancy turnover

ManpowerGroup's vacancy offering changes constantly - new jobs get posted daily, and filled positions disappear from the site immediately. That's the nature of staffing in the competitive Dutch market.

The problem was that manually including and excluding vacancies in Meta campaigns was time-consuming and never 100 percent accurate. By the time the team updated ad sets, the reality had already shifted. Some campaigns showed vacancies that were already filled. New openings didn't appear in ads at all.

In a challenging recruitment market with increased competition, relevance and speed are critical to staying ahead. If your ad promotes a role that's already gone, you've wasted budget and damaged credibility. Miss a new vacancy entirely, and a competitor fills it first.

ManpowerGroup needed to maintain a competitive advantage through operational efficiency. Better ads don't matter if they're promoting the wrong job. With vacancies changing daily, manual updates would always lag behind reality, leading to budget waste and missed performance impacts.

Real-time feed automation transforms campaign management

Manpower went for a real-time marketing approach, integrating their entire vacancy portfolio into a live data feed. This was the setup: all vacancies connect to a real-time feed in Channable, which then feeds into Hunch. The feed refreshes daily, ensuring ads always reflect current openings.

From there, image templates take over. Every single vacancy automatically generates its own unique ad or carousel card. The targeting logic matches each job to relevant locations only - no wasted spend promoting Amsterdam roles to candidates in Rotterdam.

This represents a fundamental shift in ManpowerGroup's operational capability: moving from reactive manual updates to a proactive, self-sustaining system. By building a framework where campaigns maintain themselves without constant intervention, the team has successfully scaled their output and unlocked the ability to operate at a massive volume.

The results

88 ads live, updated daily with zero manual work

The numbers tell the story. ManpowerGroup now has 88 ads running across four campaigns, all refreshed daily from the vacancy feed - no one on the team manually touching a thing. When a new vacancy comes in, an ad gets created. When it fills, the ad disappears. Real-time.

Production speed jumped 4x, enabling the team to focus more on strategy, instead of manual updates. What used to take around four hours to set up manually - 22 ad sets worth - now takes roughly one hour. That got them three hours back every single time a campaign needs updating.

Four image templates are live and rotating to prevent creative fatigue, with new ones added monthly as the account grows. For recruitment advertising, where a role can go from open to filled in days, that speed means candidates only ever see ads for jobs that actually exist.

This setup became a part of ManpowerGroup’s broader approach to scaling high-volume recruitment marketing through automation and data-driven optimisation

How ManpowerGroup scaled real-time recruitment marketing

"Hunch made real-time relevance possible for us. If a new vacancy pops up, we automatically create an ad for it. If it’s filled, it’s removed from ads too. I can’t imagine doing this manually, as it is a very slow process, prone to error. With Hunch’s automated setup, we ensure our ads always reflect the freshest vacancies."
