Tom Tailor’s two-person team needed a scalable way to keep up with creative demands for 38k products
Tom Tailor, a fashion e-commerce brand active in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland, was looking to improve how their brand showed up in paid media. With a lean in-house team of just two people and no external agency support for creative production or media buying, they faced the challenge of scaling ad creatives across a massive product catalog of nearly 40,000 items.
Their existing creatives, while functional, lacked the variety and polish needed to keep pace with competitors in the fast-moving fashion space. They needed a way to both elevate the look of their ads and streamline the production process - without overloading their team.
The solution
Creative production upgrade that turned manual processes into hands-free workflows
Hunch provided Tom Tailor with a streamlined solution that covered both creative production and media execution without the need for additional team resources. First, they took advantage of Hunch’s Photoshop (PSD) import feature to bring in their pre-designed creatives.
These existing templates were then connected with dynamic fields from their product feed, allowing the team to easily scale high-quality, on-brand visuals across thousands of products without needing to recreate each ad from scratch.
To elevate the overall look and feel, Tom Tailor used Hunch’s AI Background Removal tool to clean up over 38,000 product images. This gave their creatives a more polished and consistent appearance that aligned with current e-commerce design standards.
Finally, to streamline campaign management, they implemented Hunch’s scheduling and countdown widgets. These features allowed the team to automate creative changes around weekend promotions - no manual edits required. Just set the promo period, and the templates would update and revert on their own. The countdown widget added urgency by dynamically showing how many days were left in the promotion, helping to drive engagement and conversions.

The use of AI Background Removal significantly enhanced the visual consistency of the ads, which contributed to better engagement metrics across campaigns. Thanks to this visual upgrade and automation, the brand achieved a 7.8x ROAS and maintained a Cost Per Purchase (CPP) below €2.50 across their top-performing campaigns.
Promotional scheduling through Hunch’s widgets also played a key role, allowing the team to run time-sensitive campaigns with dynamic countdowns – boosting urgency and driving action without manual intervention. This hands-free workflow helped reduce operational overhead while increasing campaign effectiveness.
